It was an early autumn morning when she knew she was in love. That courageous word had been swimming through her head for almost a week. She had just woken up from a dream of her mother and siblings she hasn’t seen for over a year. They moved 3,000 miles across the continent four years ago when she was a freshman in college. She turned around to see her man laying next to her facing the other way. She admired his naked back consciously knowing she had fallen in love. The daring word slipped through her slender lips when she confessed to him how comical he was two nights before; quickly changing the subject hoping he hadn’t hear it. “That’s why I love”, she paused “my baby”. She couldn’t say “you”. It was too soon. They had only known each other for 4 months. She couldn’t have fallen in love already. Could she?
